Pressed Flowers in Watercolor

Pressed Flowers in Watercolor has been one of my favourite projects so far, but at the same time probably the most time-consuming. I'm really happy with what came out of it and many lessons I've learned during the process.

Here are the steps that it took me to finalise the project:
- pick up just the right leaves and flowers,
- let them dry in my thickest Bill Bryson book,
- scan them in 600 dpi,
- isolate the shapes in Photoshop using the Layer Mask tool (took me quite some  time to perfect the edges),
- prepare the background from scanned paper,
- apply the watercolor effect with multiple filters and brush strokes (had so much fun doing that!).

Let me know if you want to see more project like this one and check out my Instagram page, where I post a bit about my life and my art making process.
